About this Resource
Big feelings often feel like giant, scary monsters taking over the body. For the 1 in 36 children with autism, and those with ADHD or sensory processing differences, abstract concepts like anger and sadness can be incredibly difficult to process. That is why I wrote this book. I personified emotions into manageable, sensory-friendly characters that kids can actually understand. I kept the visual layouts calm and predictable, allowing children to safely explore their feelings without triggering their nervous systems.
